You inspired me to schedule differently. My daily calls will no longer be starting at 10am year round. They will change to later during daylight savings and earlier during standard. I’m not going to hurt myself nor encourage others to do so in order to keep an arbitrary work time if we are working for ourselves.
I like that. Next year I am going to shift my schedule at least for the first few weeks of DST. It has been the tradition in the old world for a long time to knock off earlier in the day in the summer. I don't know why Americans need the government to tell them to do that. And I got into this ridiculous conversation on Instagram with this guy who was all "LOL 'government clocks,' you keep saying that like it means anything," blah blah blah, to which I finally replied, "the bulk of your argument appears to be 'LOL,' and I don't really know how to respond to that so I'm going to let you go. But I will point out that it was you that referred to an 'extra hour of daylight.'" :rolleyes
